State Comptroller Susan Combs has been doing an exceptional job in establishing and overseeing the Victory Texas 2010 (http://www.victorytexas.org/) on behalf of the Republican Party of Texas. The Comptroller has hired an excellent staff, headed by Victory Executive Director Jarod Love, and is already well into its planning stages for a victorious November effort. Jarod Love recently outlined the Victory program at the County Chairman and SREC Leadership Conference on Saturday, July 17. He unveiled an exciting home calling, phone banking and block walking program. His staff has been exceptionally cooperative in working with RPT staff to make this effort a success.

Comptroller Combs is not just leading Victory, but is also helping the party by providing regular counsel to Chairman Munisteri as well as generous financial help. Comptroller Combs has provided $50,000 in funds for the RPT, and of equal importance, has been providing the Chairman with her personal counsel on budgeting, financial issues, staffing, and more. Her advice and counsel has been instrumental in formulating a plan for the RPT, which we are confident will result in strong and healthy party in the future.
